is a surgical operation that is performed on people with morbid obesity (who are very overweight). This surgical intervention aims to achieve long-term weight loss by reducing food absorption and reducing stomach size. Gastric bypass can also be used for patients with co-occurring diseases such as: type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and others.
During the operation, from a 2-4 liter capacity, we create the stomach into a small 50 ml pouch, to which one end of the small intestine is mechanically attached with strict adherence to standards, while the other end connects to the small intestine itself.
